Nitish Rana, a talented left-handed batter from Delhi, has built a strong reputation for his consistency in domestic cricket and is a two-time IPL champion. He made his first-class debut in 2015, finishing as Delhi’s highest run-scorer in the Ranji Trophy with 557 runs. Rana’s IPL journey began in 2016 with the Mumbai Indians, but it was in the 2017 season that he truly made an impact, scoring 333 runs and playing a crucial role in MI’s title-winning campaign. He joined Kolkata Knight Riders in 2018 and became an integral part of the team’s middle order while also contributing with his off-spin. Over the next six seasons, he established himself as a key player for KKR, leading the side as captain in the 2022 and 2023 editions. He was also a part of KKR’s victorious IPL 2024 campaign. In his IPL career so far, Rana has played 107 matches, accumulating 2,636 runs at an average of 28.65, including 18 half-centuries, with a highest score of 87. For IPL 2025, Rajasthan Royals secured his services for INR 4.20 crore. With his wealth of experience and batting prowess, Rana is expected to be a crucial figure in the RR setup.
