The young wicket-keeper batter got his first experience of the IPL after he was signed up by RR at the mega auction ahead of the 15th season of the IPL. Named vice-captain of India’s U19 World Cup side that took part in the 2020 edition, Jurel made his first-class debut in the 2022 season for Uttar Pradesh and prior to that he also made his T20 debut in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He was retained by RR ahead of the 2023 season and he vindicated the franchise's trust with impacful performances and finishing heroics. He scored 152 runs at an excellent Strike Rate of 172.72. The year 2024 was extremely fruitful for the young wicket-keeper batter. He smashed 195 runs at a strike rate of 138.29 and was involved in many pivotal matches with winning performances for RR. His heroics helped RR to qualify for the playoffs. Soon after his IPL success, he made his international debut against England in 2024 and impressed with a gritty 46 off 104 balls.
