One of India's most dependable all-rounders, Axar Patel has played key roles in the team’s victories at the T20 World Cup 2024 and Champions Trophy 2025. The Gujarat-born all-rounder started his IPL career with Mumbai Indians in 2013 but got his breakthrough with Punjab Kings in 2014, picking up 17 wickets and helping his side reach the final. He even claimed an IPL hat trick in the 2016 edition. Since joining Delhi Capitals in 2019, Axar has become a vital cog in their setup. He was retained ahead of TATA IPL 2025 and will captain the franchise for the first time.
