MatchesPopularly known as the ‘Strongman’ in the Indian dressing room, Umesh Yadav is an extremely tough built guy with supreme fitness. Son of a coal miner, Umesh actively pursued joining the police forces before turning to cricket in an attempt to make ends meet. He can clock speeds in the high 140s and swing it at the same time. After being released by Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of the IPL 2021 player auction, Umesh Yadav was snapped up by Delhi Capitals for INR 1 Cr. The right-arm pacer has a wealth of IPL experience and it will be a fascinating prospect to see him operating with the likes of Cummins and Mavi in the KKR bowling line-up this year after being snapped by the KKR franchise for INR 2 Crore in the 2022 TATA IPL Auction.
