The streak of home victories is broken as extends their triumphs at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, decisively overtaking RCB. Despite being put into bat, RCB reached a respectable 182, fueled by Kohli's second consecutive fifty and Dinesh Karthik's late fireworks, including three sixes. KKR's opening duo, Salt and Narine, launched an aggressive start, racking up 85 in the powerplay. Venkatesh Iyer, batting at three, kept the pressure on, delivering a swift 50 off just 30 balls to further unsettle RCB. Among RCB's bowlers, impact player Vyshak Vijaykumar stood out with four tight overs, showcasing his bowling prowess. KKR is unbeaten at the venue since 2015!
Faf du Plessis,Skipper: " Strange game, first innings we thought that the wicket was two-paced, you could see that when the guys bowled the cutters, batters struggled. We thought it was a decent score knowing that it gets a little easier in the evening, there was a little bit of dew coming in too. Looking at the way we batted in the first innings it was tough due to the lack of pace. We could have tried one or two things differently but the way the Salt and Narine batted, put immense pressure on our bowlers. They hit strong cricket shots and pretty much took the game away."
Shreyas Iyer, Skipper: " It was helpful to get some practice sessions here, we were in good shape from the previous game too. Personally Coming and hitting a few balls in the middle, it felt comfortable from within. The way Andre Russell came in and realised the wicket wasn't giving much assistance to the bowlers, made us resort to slower ones, analysing the conditions on the spot was pleasing to the eye. The communication was brilliant. When Narine comes in to open, he knows he has one job which is to clear the infield. Today we were contemplating whether to start with him or not but he did a brilliant job and took the game away from the opposition."
Sunil Narine is the Player of the Match
Sunil Narine: " It's a nice milestone to reach 500 T20s. Hopefully 500 more to come. It's just the self-belief and the support staff encouraging. Also the hard work. Powerplay over is the hardest over - just have to let that go and keep it tight. Helps when you win. Players have full freedom to do what they want to do."

vs
Head-to-Head
PITCH REPORT:
Sunil Gavaskar and Ian Bishop: "It looks like a glorious evening here at the Chinnaswamy. The square is a little bit used, but the outfield looks superb. The dimensions of the ground aren't huge. We are the centre of the square - 61 metres (square) on either side and 75 metres straight. A high six-hitting ground. In the first game played here, we saw a number of seam bowlers taking pace off the ball and using the slower option. Maybe that's something faster bowlers may go to today. It looks interesting. It's still a good wicket and if the spinners keep landing the ball well it can get you a little more turn. We hope there'll be no dew factor".
TOSS:
has won the toss and have elected to
first
Shreyas Iyer, Skipper: " We are going to field first. Had a brief chat with the curator who was of the opinion that the ball will spin as well. The Morale of the team is fantastic, everyone is in high spirits. We have to carry forward the same momentum throughout. It is important to be in the present. My role is to play an anchor role. It's always good to have a lethal bowling line-up like ours. It is important to stay in the present. We have to see to it that we capitalize on the start. Anukul roy comes in."
Faf du Plessis, Skipper: " We would have bowled first as well. It's a fresh track, and looks a good wicket, you have to see how it plays in the first innings. It's important to close games early in the season. It's important to assess the conditions. We love the support and atmosphere here at home. We will go with the same team."
