A challenging total chased with ease by the Royal Challengers!   started well by picking 2 early wickets in the powerplay after asking SRH to bat first. But a partnership between Klaasen and Markram brought SRH back into the match. An outstanding Knock from Heinrich Klaasen helped SRH post a mammoth total of 186 on the board. The South African batter went on to hit his maiden IPL Ton off just 51 balls. Mohammad Siraj was the most economical bowler while Bracwell was amongst the wickets for RCB. In response, the Opening pair of Faf and Virat came out all guns blazing and took the attack to the opposition from the very first delivery of the innings. A partnership of 172 between the two gave no chance to the bowlers to get into the game. Kohli the aggressor amongst the two went on to make his 6th Century of the league while Faf compiled 71 getting to his 8th Half Century of the season. In the end, RCB made a mockery of the target and completed the chase with 4 balls to spare.

Aiden Markram, Skipper: " We batted quite well. We could have added a few more in the powerplay. Great contribution from Klaasen. But I still feel it was a good score. Good to see great support not just for us but also for RCB as well. We weren't able to give them a win. We all hate losing. However, we always look to win. Hopefully, have smiles at the end of the campaign. It was an excellent knock from Faf and Virat. We will look at some of these guys moving forward. We were probably one bowler short in the powerplay. Kartik was put under tremendous pressure. The plans were all in place but we failed to execute it. Mayank was very impressive. It was a special knock from Klaasen. I feel Super happy for the guy. I don't think he would have dreamed of getting an IPL hundred. Unfortunately, it ended up in a losing cause."

Faf du Plessis, Skipper: It was an amazing chase isn't it? That was my first reaction. I did feel after the first innings that 200 was a par score in that pitch.  Spinners didn't get a turn from this pitch. The batters have done well for us and in the previous match, we were also clinical with the ball. I and Kohli we complement each other well. We play in very different areas so it's difficult for the bowlers. We are good friends on and off the field. The next match is at Chinnaswamy which will be an amazing game in front of the home crowd. And a must-win game might bring out the best in us."

Virat Kohli is the Player of the Match

Virat Kohli: "Quite special considering the magnitude of the game. Thought SRH got a very good score. Ball was gripping as well. Faf has been on a different level. I've had a quiet couple of matches. The way I was striking in the nets wasn't transitioning into the middle. I personally have never looked at my past records and did not think much about their record against us. I put myself under so much stress already that I forget that I have scored 6 centuries in IPL. I don't care what anyone says on the outside. I've never been a guy who plays so many fancy shots. It's Test cricket coming up after the IPL so have to stay true to my technique and be positive."

Match 65 of the Indian Premier League will take place between  and at  the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. The hosts are out of playoff contention whereas their counterparts still have a chance to make it to the top four. A win today will take the Visitor's tally to 14 and put them in an advantageous position before their last encounter against GT which also happens to be the last league game of the tournament. Other teams that would be interested in this game are CSK and LSG who will make it to the playoffs if RCB suffers a defeat at the hands of SRH. Faf and Co. have had a few concerns with their middle-order batting but their Top Order has done remarkably well to make it up for that. The bowling side came good in the previous encounter against RR and would be expected to repeat the feat against SRH whose batting lineup has struggled through the tournament. While SRH plays for pride, RCB will play to keep their hopes alive for the playoff qualifications.

PITCH REPORT:
Aaron Finch and Deep Dasgupta: " This is the center pitch. The Square boundaries are around 60 meters. The wicket is an absolute beauty as it is pretty even with not even a blade of grass out of place. Seems to be on the drier side though. It has been watered but with the weather being so hot, it's just a bit dry. There are a few cracks but I wouldn't be worried about that. Once players get their spikes chewing the wicket up a little bit, you'll start to get the ball slowing down and spin playing a major part later on. Batting first seems to be ideal here. The Curator reckons that there hasn't been much dew. This pitch could turn a little. Might not be a high-scoring match."

TOSS:
WINS THE TOSS AND ELECTS TO   FIRST

Faf du Plessis, Skipper: "We will bowl first. The last two nights We've had dew here. Looks like a Good Wicket but slightly on the slower side. We are going on with the same team as last game. Wanindu Hasaranga has a niggle. Adding Bracewell strengthens our batting and adds depth. Every day is a new day and we need to start fresh. You have to have the humility of looking at a fresh game."

Aiden Markram, Skipper: " We would have batted anyway. So Not very disappointed with the toss result. we have a couple of changes to our side. Harry Brook comes back. Kartik Tyagi comes in as well. Umran Malik is an X-factor player. We have a lot of pride to play for. We haven't lived up to the ability we possess. But we would try to display that at the world stage in the last two matches."
