A complete demolition at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. got off to a solid start of 42 in the powerplay after electing to bat first. Maxwell coming in at 3 took the attack to the opposition in the middle overs while Faf played second fiddle from the other end. Maxwell and Faf scored 54(33) and 55(44) respectively and a cameo of 29(11) from Rawat at the backend saw RCB post a target of 171. RCB started in a spectacular fashion with the ball getting the top three within 2 overs. Parnell picking three wickets in the powerplay doing maximum damage left very little scope for to stage a comeback. RR was reduced to 28 for 5 in the powerplay and then it was the spinners that ran through the lower order in no time. RR batting was summed up for just 59 which is the third-lowest score in the history of IPL! Cricket is a great leveler indeed!

Sanju Samson, Skipper: " I think our top three were scoring a lot of runs, we go hard in the powerplay but it didn’t come out today. Credit to the RCB bowlers for their energy and intensity. I think it was a target within reach and the game could have gone to the wire, I expected a tight match if we had a decent first six. But that is the way, Jaiswal, and Buttler have been playing throughout the tournament.  I don't think I have an answer to the collapse yet. We all know the nature of the league, anything can happen at any time. We have to be strong, take a day off, and think about the upcoming match in Dharamshala. We have to take responsibility on the whole as a team for this performance."

Faf Du Plessis, Skipper: "  Good for our Netrunrate. Tough pitch to bat on. We batted first and assessed the conditions well.  In the powerplay, we realized that 160 will be a good total. We also managed to capitalize on the momentum shift at the end. Michael Bracewell would want to bowl like this every day of the week, especially on a track like this. Wrist spin could have been an attacking option. Hopefully, we can set it up for the last game at the Chinnaswamy. They needed this confidence to go into the last two games."

Wayne Parnell is Player of the Match

Wayne Parnell: " Credit to our batters to get a target like that on such a track. The last overplayed by Rawat gave us momentum. The message was clear, it was to take pace off the ball. Maintain stump line. We were able to execute everything well today. The surface was low, slow, and skiddy. I Was just trying to make them play across the line. My preparations while I was not playing were the same.  It is a long tournament and you need to be switched on every game."

will be hosting the Royal Challengers from Bangalore in Match 60 of IPL 2023. It is a Royal Rumble where both teams would be fighting to stay in the race of the playoffs. The hosts have 12 points to their credit from their 12 games while RCB has 10 points from their 11 encounters so far. The visitors will have to do well in terms of their Net run rate which does not look so good at the moment. The onus will be on the Top three of Faf, Kohli, and Maxwell who have been doing all the scoring for RCB while the middle order has struggled to get going. Skipper Faf Du Plessis holds the orange cup with 576 runs in the league. Bowlers Hasaranga and Vyshak Vijaykumar have picked wickets but have been on the expensive side while Hazlewood has not had any major impact in the three games so far. on the other side are riding on the momentum gained in their previous encounter against KKR. Jaiswal setting a record for the fastest fifty off 13 balls is the primary reason. Buttler and Samson have been in good form too. The Spin attack is led by Yuzi Chahal who is now the highest wicket of the Cash rich league. Ashwin has complimented him well from the other end. Boult will lead the pace attack in the company of Sandeep Sharma. A mouth Watering contest awaits between Two top sides that will compete to stay in the race of the playoffs.

PITCH REPORT:
WV Raman and Simon Katich. :  "  We are playing on pitch5 at the SMS Stadium, this is the center pitch. In terms of dimensions, the square boundaries are 66m while the straight boundaries are longer at 78m. There was some cloud cover in the morning which has now disappeared. Second time this pitch is being used after the RRvCSK game, There were runs in that and it will be high scoring again. The pitch looks tough, with some cracks and grass cover in the middle. Because it's a day game, the ball might slow up a bit due to the heat.

TOSS:
RCB WINS THE TOSS AND ELECTS TO FIRST

Faf Du Plessis, Skipper: "  We will bat. It seems that the conditions might favor batting first, looks like a dry wicket. We just need to execute better. 3-4 guys are putting their hand up every match, we need a bit more probably to cash in on some good positions. Wins are important and net run rate is not something we can think about now. We have two changes Wayne Parnell comes in for Josh Hazlewood and Bracewell comes in for Wanindu Hasaranga."

Sanju Samson, Skipper: " Would have batted too. There is pressure and we will treat this as a semi-final. To be honest, we have had just one flat game against Gujarat, the rest of the games we have played competitive cricket. There are a few niggles that players carry through the tournament, but the support staff has done a good job managing that. We have one change Adam Zampa comes in for Trent Boult."
