The duo put together a match-winning partnership of 142 runs putting GT in the driver's seat. Saha smashed 81 at a strike rate of 188 while Gill remained unbeaten on 94 from 51. Cameos from Skipper Hardik Pandya and David Miller ensured that GT post a huge total of 227 on the board.

Thereafter there was very little scope for LSG to stage a comeback as the required rate went above 15 r.p.o. Mohit Sharma using his slower variations accounted for four wickets for just 29 runs. Hardik wins the battle between the Pandya Brothers and gets one step closer in sealing a place in the playoffs.
Krunal Pandya, Skipper: We gave too many 1st innings. When it is 227, you have to go from ball one. The surface played quite well as the batters said it was a good wicket to bat on. they were 10-14 above par. God has been kind to us, our family is proud, and Mom is happy to see both of us doing well. She said at the end of the day, two points will come home only. There is so much of love between me and Hardik, there's hardly any banter.
Hardik Pandya, Skipper: " I can't ask anything more from the team. I feel Rashid Khan's catch was a game-changer, until then it was even Stevens. We were both driving at 100kph as a team but that catch caused a bump in their chase. (When asked about Krunal Pandya) My love towards him is very strong, It would have been nice if it was a little tighter and we had won, he could have also had some bragging rights."
Shubman Gill is Player of the Match
Shubman Gill: ": They were going quite well in the powerplay but our bowlers came back really well especially Mohit bhai. It's an honor to be able to share his Saha experience, I stand next to him at first slip, it is phenomenal with the way he keeps going, he's been playing since the first edition. I didn't get much of a strike in the first few overs but it is important to not get carried away with what your partner is doing. I had not hit sixes in the last two matches and today I struck a few, I always keep working on my skills."

Kyle Mayers holds the key when it comes to the batting side of things. Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran will need to shoulder the responsibility in KL Rahul's absence. Spinners Amit Mishra and Ravi Bishnoi have been doing a good job of picking wickets at the same time in restricting the scoring of the opposition. The concern is the fast bowling department where only Naveen Ul Haq has been impressive and the rest have failed to have a major impact so far. Looking at the current form of LSG it will be a daunting task to end the losing streak against the table toppers at their home.

Daren Ganga : "This pitch has a name embellished on it, quite synonymous with India and there's a lot of grandeur inspiration out here in the middle. Straight is 74 meters, and 63 and 68 are the square boundaries. We are playing on pitch number 7 and no extremities here, just the heat. Very little grass cover and it looks a little dark brown because of the heat this surface is expected to dry out and it could turn out to be good for batting. Both spinners and pacers can be in business wickets in this venue."
