Rajasthan Royals dominates Royal Challengers Bangalore and registers their spot in the finals. After winning the toss and opting to field first, RR picked the wicket of Virat Kohli within the powerplay and put up the pressure straight away. R Patidar constructed his innings and made 58 runs off 42 balls along with the quick cameo of G Maxwell (24 off 13). P Krishna and O McCoy accounted for three wickets each and restricted the total to 157 runs. RR in the chase started off brilliantly and Jos Buttler carried the innings on his shoulder and escorted the team to the victory by 7 wickets and 11 balls to spare. Rajasthan Royals will face Gujarat Titans at this same venue on Sunday for the grand finale!

Faf Du Plessis, Royal Challengers Bangalore Captain: "When we walked off the field, we felt were a few short. Felt 180 was a par score on that pitch. First six overs felt like Test cricket. Compared to the other wickets, this one was quicker off the new ball, and then it eased off later in the innings. Great season for RCB. Really proud. My first season coming in and seeing how special the fans are everywhere we go. A big thank you to everyone coming out and supporting us. Obviously disappointed tonight. Came up against a really strong Rajasthan team who probably deserve it more than us. Well done to everyone and thank you very much."

Sanju Samson, Rajasthan Royals Captain: "It was tough after a loss in the last game, but we are used to bouncing back in the tournament. In IPL it's very normal that you go ups and downs throughout the tournament. We lost a few games, we knew how to come back and we did really well. The wicket was a bit sticky and was helping the fast bowlers a bit, it had really good bounce and was easier playing the spinners. We closed the innings really well, having DK and Maxi at the end we knew what they could do but having belief and composure in our skills is what got us through. Very grateful to have someone like Jos, and the way he is batting, touchwood, we have one more game to go."

Jos Buttler is the player of the match

Jos Buttler: "I came to the season with very low expectations but a lot of energy. It is very exciting to stand in the final. I had a season of two halves, and had very honest conversations with people really close to me. I was feeling the pressure midway, and it was only about a week ago that I opened up about it. Sometimes it is not working for me, and there are times when a younger me would have played a shot and come out. But it's something that Sanga has been saying that the longer you stay, you give yourselves a chance to find a way. Great excitement to have the opportunity to play in the final of the biggest tournament in T20 cricket."

TOSS:-

Rajasthan Royals won the toss and will bowl first!

Sanju Samson, Rajasthan Royals Skipper: "We will bowl first. The wicket is a bit sticky and hopefully it will help our bowlers first-up. Yesterday we had a good practice session. Everyone is happy and excited for the game. Important to keep calm and cut off the noise, trust yourself and just another game of cricket. No changes for us."

Faf Du Plessis, Royal Challengers Bangalore Skipper: "We were actually looking to bat first, it looks a good pitch and we believe runs on the board in a big game will count in our favour. Everyone has turned up really fresh and pumped up for the game. Tonight we are playing a very strong team and it is all about doing the right things. It's an amazing ground, this is my first game here and it is incredible to play in front of so many people. No changes in the XI"
