Gujarat Titans defeats Rajasthan Royals and becomes the first team to qualify for the finals! After RR being put to bat first by GT, Sanju Samson (47 from 26 balls) played a fiery knock in the beginning until Jos Buttler got settled. Buttler then shifted his gear and went on to hit 89 off 56. With the target of 189, Boult dismissed Saha in the second ball and put up pressure straight away. Shubman Gill (35 off 21) and Matthew Wade (35 off 30) partnered for 72 runs and steadied the innings! Hardik Pandya (40* off 27) at number four and David Miller (68* off 38) put up a 106* runs stand and guided the team to victory.
Sanju Samson, Rajasthan Royals Captain: "Felt good to put up that kind of total as I felt the wicket was a bit sticky and there was lot of swing in the powerplay. I think we managed to put in a good score, but I think they played really well to chase the score down. It was a bit two-paced and bounce was also not even! We have been doing really well, the five bowlers have been our main bowlers and they have done really well throughout the tournament. We will try to come back and play some good cricket. Hoping for a good result in the next game."
Hardik Pandya, Gujarat Titans Captain: "Has been a constant effort through the last couple of years. All the 23 players are different characters, bring different things to the table. The kind of people we have, the genuine human beings we have. I genuinely see even the players in the dugout are trying and praying for them to make sure they do well. That is something fantastic and that is the reason we have reached where we have reached. It's all about making sure we respect this game. I'm proud of Miller for the way he has played. Wherever my team requires me to play, I don't generally demand where I want to bat. That's not how I've got success."
David Miller is the player of the match
David Miller: "I've been given a role, I felt extremely backed from the outset. I'm enjoying my role, I've been playing for many years now. Understanding my game a lot better. In high-pressure situations you tend to go away from your gameplan but I feel like I'm trying to keep everything together close to the gameplan. Backed myself and went with it. The rest I tried to hit as hard as possible."

VENUE STATS:-

PITCH REPORT:
Matthew Hayden: "It's got lots of grass cover and that means the quicks will be in play. I don't think there's going to be a lot of turn. Not much of wear and tear. Expect round about 170-180 to be a par score and expect the captains to have a bowl."
TOSS:-
Gujarat Titans have won the toss and have elected to bowl first!
Hardik Pandya, Gujarat Titans Skipper: "We will bowl first. Looks a decent track to bat on, and just want to know what we are chasing. Boys are pretty pumped up for this game. We treat this game as simple as possible and make sure you focus on what is controllable and making sure the intensity is high and aware of what the situation demands. One change - Alzarri Joseph comes in for Lockie Ferguson."
Sanju Samson, Rajasthan Royals Skipper: "We have done well batting first, looks like a decent batting wicket let's see what happens. Important to keep your focus on the present game and take care of what is controllable. We have been playing some great cricket throughout the tournament and would like to repeat it again. Like to keep it simple and maintain our standards. We are playing the same team."
