Gujarat Titans win yet another game in the last over and move back to the top of the table. After winning the toss and opting to bowl, Gujarat got off t a great start with Shami picking up two wickets inside the Powerplay, after which half-centuries from Markram and Abhishek Sharma followed by a quick-fire innings from Shashank Singh in the end, powered Sunrisers to their highest total this season. In the chase, Gujarat got off to the perfect start, putting on 59 runs in the Powerplay without losing a wicket, after which Umran Malik steamed in and picked up his first five-wicket haul. In the end cameos from Rashid Khan and Rahul Tewatia helped Gujarat cross the line and win by 5 wickets.
Kane Williamson, Sunrisers Hyderabad Captain: "It was a fantastic game of cricket that ebbed and flowed throughout the 40 overs, it's a game of very fine margins. Could have gone either way, but great learning for us. It was a fantastic finish by Shashank Singh, he played beautifully. Credit to Gujarat as they played outstandingly well and we'll take positives out of this game. Umran Malik has been bowling beautifully, an outstanding performance by him. Sometimes you are blown away by the better side, credit to them as they played outstandingly well. There's a lot of learning for us, but with two strong sides such things happen."
Hardik Pandya, Gujarat Titans Captain: "It's happening so often that I fear we may run out of luck in the knockout games. We keep a very chilled atmosphere and ensure everyone is stepping up. It's a long tournament and I don't want to get too excited early, we're quite practical, we've spoken about winning these situations and there is a lot of self-belief in the camp. It's important to keep the calm in the dugout, a lot of credit goes to the support staff for how they've been handling the players."
Umran Malik is the Player of the Match.
Umran Malik: "I always bowl fast but I've been trying to bowl better lines and lengths. I was trying to rotate between my plans. Idea was to attack the stumps and it's worked well for me. 155 kph, hopefully it happens someday, but the main goal is to bowl well and pick wickets for my team."
Hello and welcome to the live commentary of Match 40 in the TATA IPL 2022, where the Gujarat Titans face off against the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The two sides have been exceptional with their bowling so far in the tournament and have the two best bowling strike rates and economy this season. The Kane Williamson-led team has been on a roll, winning 5 games on the trot, whereas the Titans have won six of their seven games this year, and their only loss was in the hands of SRH in their previous encounter this season. Can the Hyderabad-based franchise do the double or will Gujarat get their revenge tonight?

Will we see the captain winning the toss opt to bat first tonight?
Average 1st Innings score in each phase at the venue:-
Powerplay (1-6 Ov) :- 40/2
Middle Overs (7-15 Ov) :- 70/3

PITCH REPORT:-
Matthew Hayden: "The pitch is very, very hard and there is not as much grass. The last five games here have been won by the team batting first. It's very dry and maybe it's an advantage to bat upfront, try and get some total on the board because chasing is proving to be very difficult as the tournament wears on."
