About

Lockie Ferguson is a speedster from New Zealand known for his raw pace. He made his international debut against Australia in the December 2016 ODI series. Since then, he has been a prominent part of the Kiwi set-up in international cricket. Ferguson made headlines for his brilliant performances in the 2019 ODI World Cup. He took 21 wickets in 9 matches and finished as the leading wicket-taker for New Zealand in the tournament, with his best performance (4/37) coming against Afghanistan. He has been part of multiple IPL franchises like Kolkata Knight Riders (2019-21), Gujarat Titans (2022), where he played a crucial role in their title run, picking up 12 wickets, followed by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (2024). Over the years, he’s developed clever variations and can bowl effectively in different phases of the game. He is now all set to breathe fire in red for Punjab Kings for INR 2 Crore and will form a lethal pair with the likes of Arshdeep Singh and Marco Jansen.
