He is quick, accurate and can swing the ball both ways, in short, Dale Steyn is a batsman’s nightmare. He is the top-ranked bowler in Test cricket and one of the main reasons why South Africa are ruling the Test cricket roost. A fierce competitor on the cricket field – he once said he loves cricket because it is the only profession in which he can legally knock off a batsman’s head with a leather ball – Steyn is a charming and friendly boy next door off it. The menacing Proteas pacer was part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team for the first three IPL seasons before being bought by the Deccan Chargers in 2011. Although his team fared badly in both seasons Steyn picked 14 and 18 wickets respectively in IPL 2011 and 2012. Now he has become the most illuminating star in the Sunrisers galaxy.
