A big-hitting right-hand batsman and a useful medium-pacer, Daniel Christian was part of the Australian U-19 team that won the 2002 ICC U-19 World Cup. He spent his early days at New South Wales before moving to South Australia. Consistent performances in domestic cricket, earned him a place in the Australian T20I side. The 29-year-old bats in the middle order and is known to adapt to any situation and batting conditions. The Deccan Chargers bought him at the IPL Player Auction 2011 for USD 900,000, and he in turn delivered with both bat and ball during that season. The new franchise, Sun Risers Hyderabad released him ahead of the 2013 IPL Player Auction where RCB snapped him up for USD 100,000.
