Profile
| Birth Date | 30 December 1989 |
| IPL debut | 2008 |
With his long mane and strapping frame, this hard-hitting Ranchi batsman became a familiar face as part of India’s Under-19 World Cup winning team in 2008. But it was IPL 2010 that made Saurabh Tiwary became a household name, when he plundered 419 runs in 16 games. That performance earned him an India ODI cap before RCB snapped him up for USD 1.6 million in the 2011 IPL Player Auction and he has. Since then he has donned the red and gold. However, despite his undoubted prowess of smoldering the cricket ball, the fizz has died out of Tiwary’s bat. He’s had two rather quite IPL seasons, partly because he was hardly needed to bat after the top-order rampage.
