An all-rounder in the making, Abrar Kazi is a left-arm spinner and a lower-order left-hand batsman. The 22-year-old has been a consistent performer with the bat and ball in local and age group cricket, and has gone on to play limited-overs cricket for his state side Karnataka. He was roped in by the Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of IPL 2011 and has been retained by the franchise going into IPL 2012 as well.
