A bristling 21 year-old pacer from Kerala, Sandeep Warrior announced his arrival in first-class cricket by scalping 24 wickets in the five matches he played in the 2012-13 Ranji Trophy. Nippy and skillful, Warrior impressed at a fast bowling camp held in Kerala in early 2012 and earned a place in the state side the following Ranji season. In only his fourth game, Warrior ran through the Jharkhand line-up to finish with career-best 6 for 44 in 15 overs. Recognizing the talent, RCB made him a part of their IPL squad ahead of the 2013 tournament.
