Amit Paunikar scored a century on first-class debut for Vidarabha against Services in 2007. Since then, he has made sporadic appearances for his state team and is yet to cement his spot in the playing eleven. He opened for the Rajasthan Royals in four matches in IPL 2011, but failed to make an impact. He will be hoping to put together better performances in IPL 2012.
