Abhishek Nayar is an all-rounder who plays for Mumbai. The 29-year-old is a hard-hitting left-hand batsman and a handy right-hand medium-pacer. In the last domestic season, he turned in several noteworthy performances and played a crucial role in helping Mumbai win their 40th Ranji Trophy title. After playing for the Mumbai Indians in the first three seasons of the IPL, Nayar was roped in by the Kings XI Punjab at the IPL Player Auction 2011. He was bagged by the Pune Warriors India at the 2013 IPL Player Auction for USD 675,000, which was the highest bid for an Indian player at the event.
