Maharashtra’s Harshad Khadiwale has established a reputation as an attacking opening batsman. The 23-year-old, who is with the Pune Warriors, just had his best first-class season – aggregating over 500 runs in eight matches. A batting strike-rate of close to 100 in limited overs cricket and over 140 in Twenty20 cricket highlights how dangerous he can be once he gets going. He was also the second-highest run-getter in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Twenty20 tournament last season. He will be hoping to carry that form into IPL 2012.
