This 24-year-old New South Welshman is one-half of Australia’s current ODI and Test opening pair. While he earned the coveted Baggy Green cap as a 21-year-old, it took him a while to prove his worth as a limited-overs batter. He finally made his ODI debut in January 2013 against Sri Lanka and scored a century in his very first game. With two ODI tons to his name in just nine innings and an average of over 52, Phil Hughes has certainly taken a liking for limited-overs cricket. It will be interesting to see him ply his trade for the Mumbai Indians this year.
