Yusuf first made his mark as a hard-hitting batsman and off-spinner for the Baroda U-16 team. His ability to score runs quickly earned him a spot in India's inaugural World T20 squad in 2007. His impressive showing in IPL 2008, including a Man-of-the-Match performance in the final, earned him an ODI cap for the 2008 Asia Cup. Pathan’s most memorable ODI performaces are 123* versus New Zealand and a blitzkrieg of 105 off 70 balls against South Africa at Centurion. He has won many games for his state, IPL team and national sides. However, haunted by inconsistency, the flamboyant batsman is yet to produce anything memorable for KKR.
