Siddharth Chitnis is tailor-made for the shorter format of cricket. Based on his impressive performances in Mumbai’s local cricket scene and domestic U-22 tournaments, the off-spinner-cum-batsman was picked by the Mumbai Indians during IPL 2008. He carried his form into the domestic U-22 tournament, and helped Mumbai lift the national title. He was signed on by the Rajasthan Royals ahead of IPL 2009. A good striker of the ball he can score at a quick pace and is an explosive and entertaining batsman.
