Sangakkara fined USD 20,000
DC skipper found guilty of maintaining slow over rate against PWI
Deccan Chargers captain Kumar Sangakkara has been fined after the team maintained a slow over rate during last night’s DLF IPL match against Pune Warriors India in Pune.
At the end of the match, Deccan Chargers were assessed to be one over behind the required rate after allowances were taken into consideration.
Since it was his first offence of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, Sangakkara was fined USD 20 000.
