Amit Mishra is a leg-break spin bowler and right-handed batsman. Quite often critics compare him with Shane Warne and he is by no means undeserved. A similar run-up, and bowl, along with a heroic Warne-style loss of weight made Mishra an attacking cricketer who bowled a praised leg and off-break. He found his place in the Indian squad for the Test against the West Indies in 2002, but was not given a chance to play. He was allowed to play, however, during the TVS Cup in 2003, which took place in Dhaka.
